The Holopuni Vaa Tuamotu Voyage 2 is our return to the central-north Tuamotu area to discover a new line of atolls. Leaving again from Makemo, we sailed north to Katiu, Raraka, and Kauehi. A lack of wind had us leaving our canoes in Kauehi for a couple of weeks before continuing the voyage. We sailed to Fakarava, Toau, and Kaukura. In one of our longest crossings, we made the first Holopuni crossing from Kaukura to Makatea. After a few day layover, we sailed overnight back to Tahiti.
Le Holopuni Vaa Tuamotu Voyage 2 fut notre retour dans la région centre-nord des Tuamotu pour découvrir une nouvelle ligne d'atolls. Au départ de Makemo, nous avons navigué vers le nord jusqu'à Katiu, Raraka et Kauehi. Le manque de vent nous a obligés à laisser nos pirogues à Kauehi pendant quelques semaines avant de poursuivre le voyage. Nous avons navigué vers Fakarava, Toau et Kaukura. Lors de l'une de nos plus longues traversées, nous avons effectué la première traversée en Holopuni de Kaukura à Makatea. Après quelques jours d'escale, nous avons navigué vers Tahiti.
